While losing is never fun, Mardela can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Bennett is ranked 122nd).
Parkside now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Mardela, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Parkside against Mardela when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 71-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parkside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
