Brody Bright posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Bright's effort led Gaffney over Riverside and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
