The Union Grove Christian Patriots's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 50-46 W over Gospel Light Christian. This was a revenge game for Union Grove Christian, as the team was forced to settle for a 52-49 loss when these two played two weeks ago.
Colin Wykes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Ben Johnson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Gospel Light Christian still got an impressive performance from Drake Walker, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Walker is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Samuel Sisk, who scored 15 points.
Union Grove Christian's win bumped their record up to 25-7. As for Gospel Light Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union Grove Christian will take on Woodland Baptist Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland Baptist Christian will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Union Grove Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gospel Light Christian, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome New Manna Christian at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th.
