Calumet extended the longest winning streak in Western Peninsula this week by beating Wright, 56-15. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Houghton took down Baraga 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Northland Pines/Phelps' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cooper Kerner has thrown for 311 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Sam Lacko has six catches for 210 yards. Austin Ramesh leads the league in rushing with 684 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Gremlins take on Hancock. Houghton is in eighth place, while the Bulldogs are in sixth place.
Northland Pines/Phelps led Western Peninsula in scoring this week after putting up 68 points on L'Anse.
