Fort LeBoeuf is 1-7 against North East since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Fort LeBoeuf Bison will head out on the road to face off against the North East Grape Pickers at 5:15 p.m. Fort LeBoeuf is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Fort LeBoeuf suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Cathedral Prep at home and fell 75-22. While losing is never fun, Fort LeBoeuf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 412th, while Cathedral Prep is ranked 23rd).
Meanwhile, North East waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins but they left with six. They snuck past Seneca with a 36-31 victory.
It was another big night for Alexandra Cozzens, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Samantha Probst, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Fort LeBoeuf's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for North East, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Fort LeBoeuf came up short against North East when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 36-24. Can Fort LeBoeuf avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
