The Peoria Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Goldwater for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-48 victory at home. The win was some much needed relief for Peoria as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Desmone Brooks-conley, who scored 23 points along with two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Jackson Jr., who scored eight points along with nine assists and two steals.
Peoria's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Goldwater, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peoria will challenge Agua Fria at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Agua Fria focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Thursday. As for Goldwater, they will head out on the road to face off against Estrella Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
