Volleyball Recap: Teutopolis' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Teutopolis unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Galena Pirates.

Zoe Blaum was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and two aces. What's more, she posted two assists, the most she's had over her last five matches.

Teutopolis' defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Galena, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Teutopolis and Galena will both be playing Pontiac the next time they take the court. The Wooden Shoes will head out to face the Indians at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
