The Hoopa Valley Warriors's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Laytonville Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on December 13th. Hoopa Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Laytonville will be coming in after a loss.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Hoopa Valley beat Tulelake 46-40.
Hoopa Valley's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Lyle Mckinnon, who scored 15 points, and Brandon Romero, who scored 16 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mckinnon has scored at least 25% of Hoopa Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Anzora, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, Laytonville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 64-50 fall against Technology.
Hoopa Valley's win bumped their season record to 2-5 while Tulelake's defeat dropped theirs to 0-6.
Everything came up roses for Hoopa Valley against Laytonville in their previous meeting back in December of 2018 as the squad secured a 77-37 victory. Does Hoopa Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Laytonville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
