There's no place like home for the Elkhorn Valley Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Niobrara/Verdigre 52-11 at home. That 41 points margin sets a new team best for Elkhorn Valley this season.
Elkhorn Valley's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kellyn Ollendick, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Ollendick has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Hansen, who scored 13 points along with five steals and two blocks.
Elkhorn Valley pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing North Central the next time they take the court. Elkhorn Valley will head out to face North Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Niobrara/Verdigre will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
