Concord hasn't had much luck against Springport recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Concord Yellowjackets will head out to face off against the Springport Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Concord is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Last Monday, Concord strolled past Hillsdale Academy with points to spare, taking the game 45-27.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Concord to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bradie Lehman, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals. Lehman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cieara Barrett, who posted nine points along with six steals and five boards.
Concord smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springport). They simply couldn't be stopped last Tuesday as they easily beat Maple Valley 77-13. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Concord better keep an eye on Chloey Speer. She was instrumental in Springport's win, going 12 of 21 on her way to 34 points and six steals. With that strong performance, Speer is now averaging an impressive 17.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Hattie Gray, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points in addition to eight assists and four steals.
Concord's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Springport, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4.
Concord came up short against Springport in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 54-46. Can Concord avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
