Colton Heweredine and Gabe Henson were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Heweredine tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Henson tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Fisher is 4-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-12 otherwise. At bat, Heweredine went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs, while Henson got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those five RBI gave Heweredine a new career-high.
In other batting news, Fisher let Colt Daugherty and Weston Ensign run wild. Daugherty got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Ensign went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Fisher is undefeated when Ensign posts two or more runs, but 2-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Todd, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 4-1 to Iroquois West.
Ridgeview saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kane Aupperle, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. That stolen base was Aupperle's first of the season.
Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Fisher, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
Ridgeview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fisher has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. It's a different story for Ridgeview, though, as they've only averaged .344. Will they be able to contain Fisher's hitters?
Fisher beat Ridgeview 8-5 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Bunnies repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
