This season hasn't been kind to the Mountainair Mustangs, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gateway Christian on Friday.
Gateway Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethaniel Wigley out in front who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Wigley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Oaxaca, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Mountainair's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gateway Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Mountainair is on the road again on Saturday and play against Floyd at 10:00 a.m. on December 9th. As for Gateway Christian, they will take on Quemado at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
