Orange Beach has gone a perfect 3-0 against McCracken County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Makos will host the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Orange Beach will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Orange Beach's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Blackman 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Makos, who have now won 19 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
MK McMullan was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up a single earned run in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Teagan Revette, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Katie King, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Orange Beach was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in five consecutive games.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Friday. McCracken County walked away with a 7-2 victory over Madison Academy.
McCracken County also got a great performance from Addison Dudley as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, Macey Stricklin was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. Kinley Dowdy was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Orange Beach's win bumped their record up to 25-0. As for McCracken County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Orange Beach hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .392. However, it's not like McCracken County struggles in that department as they've averaged .331. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Orange Beach's way against McCracken County in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Orange Beach made off with an 8-2 win. Will the Makos repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
