Everything went their way against the Trinity Raiders as the Hancock County Hornets made off with a 15-9 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Dec Lewko and Carson Clark made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Lewko struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Clark pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Lewko has allowed since back in April of 2024. At bat, Lewko scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Clark went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave Clark a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Roberts, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Noah Keown was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
