The Westwood Wolverines will take on the Bellingham Blackhawks at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Monday, Westwood needed a bit of extra time to put away Medway. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 23-15 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

Westwood let Brooke Benger and Abby Johnson run wild. Benger went 5-for-6 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs, while Johnson went 4-for-6 with five stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Benger has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Julia Raffoni, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Westwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Bellingham got the win against Norwood on Monday by a conclusive 9-3.
Trista Corshia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Corshia was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Jacobi Houston was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Megan Skarin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Westwood's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Bellingham, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Westwood beat Bellingham 4-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blackhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
