Baseball Recap: Queensbury Continues Home Dominance on Friday

While Queensbury put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Hudson Falls. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Tigers. Fans of the Spartans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Jacob Wolf was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wolf was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nate Barber, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Tyler Dorvee, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Queensbury was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hudson Falls only posted a batting average of .062.

Queensbury's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Hudson Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Queensbury will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
