2A District 2 recap October 29, 2013
Owensboro Catholic extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 2 this week by beating McLean County, 49-18. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Aces.
Hancock County fell to Butler County 53-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Trevor Garrison ran for 40 yards in the defeat.
Hancock County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Garrison contributed 40 yards.
Garrison provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Chris Morris' team lost to the Bears.
Garrison was the best running back in the league this week. Koert Morris also contributed to the rushing game with 11 yards on the ground.
Hancock County's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Morris has thrown for 793 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Beau Case has 19 catches for 431 yards.
