After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Taft, Sylmar was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Marquez Gladiators by a score of 2-0. The Spartans were shut out 1-0 the last time they took on the Gladiators, so the Spartans were just returning the favor.

Sylmar is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Marquez, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
