Donna won the last time they faced La Feria and things went their way on Friday too. The Redskins put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 61-40 victory. The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Donna's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sonya Perez, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 20 boards. The Redskins are 6-1 when Perez posts eight or more rebounds, but 4-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Howell, who posted 14 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Donna smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 7.4 offensive boards per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 13.6.

Donna is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for La Feria, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Donna will square off against Mercedes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Redskins' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for La Feria, they will take on Harvest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Feria will need to watch out since Harvest Christian has now posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
