The Milton Panthers put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Fort Walton Beach at home to the tune of 65-28. The result was nothing new for Milton, who have now won five games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Christopher Jaylen mckinley was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Treymar Jones, who scored 13 points.
Despite the defeat, Fort Walton Beach had strong showings from Johnny Lewis jr, who scored four points along with eight rebounds, and Alex Rusinchak, who scored four points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rusinchak has scored all season.
Milton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.33 points. As for Fort Walton Beach, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Coincidentally, Milton and Fort Walton Beach will both be playing Navarre the next time they take the court. Fort Walton Beach will head out to face Navarre at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Milton will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
