Guerin Catholic hasn't had much luck against Roncalli recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Golden Eagles will welcome the Royals at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Guerin Catholic got the win against Indianapolis Shortridge by a conclusive 62-37. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Guerin Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cecilia Titus out in front who went 6-for-8 to rack up 12 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Titus now owns an excellent 46.9% shooting accuracy. Caroline Ford was another key player, shooting 42% from the field en route to 10 points in addition to five boards and four steals.
Guerin Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Meanwhile, after only 23 points in their last matchup, Roncalli made sure to put some points up on the board against Whiteland on Tuesday. The Royals really took it to the Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-26 win. With the Royals ahead 38-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Guerin Catholic better focus on containing Elliot Leffler and Brennah Cerny as the pair were huge in Roncalli's win. Leffler went 7-for-14 on her way to 18 points and six assists, while Cerny shot 55% from the field to rack up 17 points. Those six assists gave Leffler a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Stahley, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.
Guerin Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Roncalli, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Guerin Catholic has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Roncalli struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 31 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
