Overbrook extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 6-15. They came up short against the Woodstown Wolverines, falling 13-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 back in April.
Ava Landolt made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Alaina Dufresne was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
As for Woodstown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8. Considering they have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
On Woodstown's side, Leah Clark made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Clark was also big at the plate, getting three hits from her four at bats.
In other batting news, Elizabeth Wygand was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Talia Guardascione, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Overbrook will take on Pitman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodstown, they will square off against Clayton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
