The Riverdale Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 60-50 to LEAD Academy.
Anthony Petway was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for LEAD Academy. That's the first time this season that Petway pulled down eight or more rebounds. Darnell Seay was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Riverdale has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for LEAD Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Riverdale will head out on the road to take on Oakland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LEAD Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pearl-Cohn at 7:30 p.m.
