The Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm lost against the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Sauk Rapids-Rice fell 57-46 to Sartell-St. Stephen. Sauk Rapids-Rice has not had much luck with Sartell-St. Stephen recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Sauk Rapids-Rice lost, one person who can't be blamed is Courtney Paulsen. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. Paulsen hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Mohs, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Sauk Rapids-Rice's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
Sauk Rapids-Rice will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rocori at 5:45 p.m. Rocori has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, they will square off against Waconia at TBD on Thursday. Waconia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Sartell-St. Stephen is ranked 69th).
