The South Fork Bulldogs will face off against the Sebastian River Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Fork's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Sebastian River's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Tuesday, South Fork beat Okeechobee 7-3. That four run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Jackson Turull looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because South Fork is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-4 otherwise.
At the plate, Jason Dennis and Eli Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Dennis scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Smith scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. That's the most runs Dennis has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Will Vining, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sebastian River). They came out on top against Westwood by a score of 12-7 on Tuesday. Considering the Sharks' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Jamison Jones looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Sebastian River got a big performance out of Brandon Morrero, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Morrero also stole a stolen base, marking his first of the season. Noah Duerden was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Sebastian River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The victory made it two in a row for South Fork and bumps their season record up to 3-5. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 10.5 strikeouts in those games compared to only 4.17 in the others. As for Sebastian River, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5.
South Fork was able to grind out a solid victory over Sebastian River in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 5-1. Will South Fork repeat their success, or does Sebastian River have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
