Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Canton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Preston Brewer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Brewer's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Oliver, who scored 15 points.
Canton's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Kirksville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Canton will head out on the road to face off against Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Canton is ranked 159th). As for Kirksville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmyra at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmyra is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
