The Evergreen Valley Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Evergreen Valley came out on top against Lynbrook on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Cougars blew past the Vikings 10-4. The Cougars not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th (when they won 9-1).
Jacob Cambra made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Evergreen Valley is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-8 otherwise. Cambra was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
