The Piedmont Classical Bobcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to College Prep & Leadership Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-40 win on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Piedmont Classical has posted since December 1, 2023.
It was another big night for Ge'Kayla Goins, who scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Tamia Carter was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Piedmont Classical and bumps their season record up to 5-7. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piedmont Classical will take on Bethany at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bethany focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Thursday. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they will play host again and welcome Asheboro Hybrid Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Asheboro Hybrid Academy is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
