Two dominant forwards in Ellie Dorius and Madi Andrews are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Farmington Phoenix will welcome the Lehi Pioneers at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Farmington's victory against Weber wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Phoenix narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Warriors 40-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Phoenix have posted since December 19, 2024.

Farmington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olive Wayland led the charge by going 5-for-8 on her way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. What's more, Wayland also posted a 63% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Romney, who posted six points and three steals.
Farmington was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They are 10-1 when they've passed the ball that well.
Meanwhile, Lehi came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past Corner Canyon with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-42.
Lehi found their leader in sophomore Kelcee Rasmussen, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 14 boards. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for Rasmussen. The team also got some help courtesy of Cali Ashton, who put up nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Lehi's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-7. As for Farmington, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Farmington has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Lehi struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Farmington came up short against Lehi in their previous matchup back in December of 2020, falling 53-44. Can the Phoenix avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
