Everything went Riverdale's way against South Fort Myers on Friday as they made off with a 44-13 victory. Followers of Riverdale probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected seven blowout victories.
The matchup started off well for Riverdale, whose offense put up 37 first-half points. South Fort Myers wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 7 to make it 37-7 heading into the break. The Riverdale defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. Riverdale added further sheen to their flawless record, now 8-0. The defeat dropped South Fort Myers' record to 1-6.
After their action against one another, the teams are leaving the conference to test themselves against outside opponents. Next week Riverdale take on Golden Gate at 7:30 PM. As for South Fort Myers, they will face off against Naples.
