The Arapahoe Warriors won the last time they faced the Axtell Wildcats, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Arapahoe secured a 37-33 W over Axtell. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Arapahoe.
Arapahoe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Berkley Warner led the charge by scoring 16 points. Warner continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cadence Carpenter, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Axtell's loss came despite strong showings from Emily Danburg and Morgan Hawkins. Danburg scored 12 points, while Hawkins scored seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Arapahoe pushed their record up to 8-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Axtell, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Arapahoe will head out on the road to challenge Southern Valley on Thursday. Southern Valley will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Axtell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilcox-Hildreth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox-Hildreth's defense has only allowed 26.6 points per game this season, so Axtell's offense will have their work cut out for them.
