The Crowell Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Munday. Crowell has struggled against Munday recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Mance Phillips was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds for Munday. Phillips hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Haiden Bowman, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Crowell has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Munday, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.
Crowell will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Electra at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Electra's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. Munday does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
