The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders won the last time they faced the Neelyville Tigers, and things went their way on Saturday too. Saxony Lutheran strolled past Neelyville with points to spare, taking the game 67-48. The win made it back-to-back wins for Saxony Lutheran.
Evie Caruso was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 14 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Johnson, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Saxony Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Neelyville, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Saxony Lutheran will head out on the road to take on Fredericktown at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Fredericktown is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Neelyville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Van Buren at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Van Buren will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 429th, while Neelyville is ranked 204th).
