Calallen took the game and then some with a 61-18 win over Tuloso-Midway on Friday. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Calallen, who can brag about three blowout wins.
Calallen's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 45 points in the first half. Tuloso-Midway countered with 12 points, leaving the score at 45-12 going into the half. The Calallen defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest.
The victory (their 5th in a row) raised Calallen's record to 6-1. Tuloso-Midway are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Calallen will square off against Gregory-Portland at 7:30 PM next week. Calallen will be strutting in after a win while Gregory-Portland will be stumbling in from a defeat. As for Tuloso-Midway, they will face off against Floresville. These teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with five consecutive losses for Tuloso-Midway and four for Floresville.
