The Skyline Spartans will head out to face off against the Eastlake Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Skyline had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Sammamish on Monday. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the RedHawks. The win was familiar territory for the Spartans, who have now won four matchups in a row.
Skyline never let Sammamish on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 28-26, 25-14.

Liz Oberg and Megan Chen were among the main playmakers for Skyline as the former had four digs and two aces and the latter had five digs and three aces. That's the most digs Oberg has posted over her last six matches.
Meanwhile, Eastlake made easy work of Cedarcrest on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Eastlake's got stronger as the match went on, holding Cedarcrest to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, 25-11.
Skyline better keep an eye on Renna Chow. She was instrumental in Eastlake's win, getting six digs and three aces.
Eastlake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive contests.
Eastlake's record now sits at 6-11-1. As for Skyline, they now have a winning record of 8-7-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Skyline has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Eastlake struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Skyline couldn't quite get it done against Eastlake in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
