Oconto Falls barely beat Waupaca the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Comets on Thursday. Randi Metzler was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.
