Warner waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They rang in the new year with a 50-41 win over the Northwestern Area Wildcats. The Monarchs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Warner's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Northwestern Area, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Warner is taking a road trip to challenge Groton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwestern Area, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Northwestern Area Wildcats face off against the Ipswich Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwestern Area is facing Ipswich at the right time seeing as Ipswich is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
