Klein Oak dropped down to 6-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 52-48 to the Deer Park Deer. The Panthers lost against the Deer in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-22 score last time.

As for Deer Park, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games.

Leading Deer Park to victory were Lena Kratz and Shelby Tortorici. Kratz posted eight points, while Tortorici went 6-for-14 to rack up 15 points. Tortorici continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Jada Mccormick was another key player, putting up five points.

Klein Oak has already played their next contest, a 53-43 defeat against Clear Lake on the 22nd. As for Deer Park, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-40 loss against Cypress Lakes on the 22nd.
