Volleyball Recap: Emery/Weiner Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Mona Cai and Emy Weinberg

Emery/Weiner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Fort Bend Christian Academy this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss on October 7th.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-13, 25-12.

Despite the defeat, Emery/Weiner had strong showings from Emy Weinberg, who had 11 digs, and Mona Cai, who had seven digs. Weinberg is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Emery/Weiner's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Fort Bend Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-11 record this season.
