On Friday, Forest Hills strolled past the Mountaineers with points to spare, taking the game 69-51. Given Forest Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Mountaineers are ranked 608th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Forest Hills to victory were Koy McGough and Dylan Stohon. McGough scored 17 points along with six steals, while Stohon scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. Stohon continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Brandon Gregovich was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Forest Hills pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
