Harrison is 7-2 against Richmond since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Harrison Raiders will look to defend their home court against the Richmond Red Devils at 2:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Harrison struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Thursday (Merrillville was 25% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Harrison received a tough blow as they fell 58-41 to Merrillville.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Riley Whitlock, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elsie Ahnert, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Richmond came up short against Tri on Thursday and fell 60-48.
Harrison has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Everything came up roses for Harrison against Richmond when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 57-24 win. With Harrison ahead 38-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
