The Idea Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the Eastern Ramblers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Idea focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
Idea pushed their score all the way to 55, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a rough 76-55 defeat at the hands of Cardozo.
Despite the defeat, Idea got a solid performance out of Nehemiah Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Johnson scored a full 27.3% of Idea's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Sidy Koite was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Eastern had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 65-42 margin over DC International.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 1-1 season records intact.
Idea beat Eastern 56-48 in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Eastern's Di'jon Proctor, who scored 18 points. Now that he won't be playing on Monday, will it be that much easier for Idea to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
