Astoria/VIT is 0-10 against Havana since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rebels will be playing at home against the Ducks at 4:30 p.m. Havana took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Astoria/VIT, who comes in off a win.
Astoria/VIT lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Peoria Heights, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Rebels put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 11-2 victory on Monday. That looming 11-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rebels yet this season.

Westin Chenoweth made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Astoria/VIT is 2-1 when Chenoweth allows three or fewer earned runs, but 1-17 otherwise. Chenoweth was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Davis, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Colby Martin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Astoria/VIT kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peoria Heights only managed three.
Farmington hit Havana with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Ducks lost 12-2 to the Farmers.
Havana saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Turner, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Turner is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
Havana's loss dropped their record down to 15-6-1. As for Astoria/VIT, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-18.
Astoria/VIT might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Havana in their previous matchup last Saturday. Will the Rebels have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
