Baseball Recap: Andrew Jackson Academy Takes a Loss

Andrew Jackson Academy came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-5 to the Holly Hill Academy Raiders. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Kaiden Kinard was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Andrew Jackson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Holly Hill Academy, their record now sits at 3-1.

Coming up, Andrew Jackson Academy will welcome Horse Creek Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Horse Creek Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.2 runs per game on average), something Andrew Jackson Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Holly Hill Academy, they will head out to take on Orangeburg Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Orangeburg Prep's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Holly Hill Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
