On Thursday, the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies faced the Boise Brave in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rocky Mountain received a tough blow as they fell 55-36 to Boise. Rocky Mountain has not had much luck with Boise recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Rocky Mountain still got an impressive performance from Anna Dabell, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dabell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cianna Legaspi, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
Avery Howell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Boise, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. Howell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Patricco, who scored 14 points.
Rocky Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Boise, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.
Rocky Mountain will head out on the road to square off against Middleton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middleton will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Boise, they will be playing at home against Owyhee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Owyhee is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
