Cox Mill is 10-0 against the Wonders since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Cox Mill Chargers will be playing at home against the A.L. Brown Wonders at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Cox Mill came up short against the Wolverines and fell 56-49.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Makayla Richardson, who scored five points along with 15 rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Madison Alexander, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, A.L. Brown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Lake Norman 80-41. A.L. Brown has not had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Like A.L. Brown, they lost despite seeing results from several players. Ayanni Flood led the charge by scoring 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jah'nae Stevens, who scored 11 points.
Cox Mill now has a losing record at 9-10. As for A.L. Brown, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Cox Mill took their victory against the Wonders in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 50-26. Does Cox Mill have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wonders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
