Two dominant backs in Ronde Baker and Branden Gautier are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Terry Bulldogs will challenge the George County Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Terry's defense has only allowed 7.4 points per game this season, so George County's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Terry took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed past Jim Hill to the tune of 55-6. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Brady Busby was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Brandon Duplesis, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Terry's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Micah White with two sacks.
Meanwhile, George County played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 42-21 to Hattiesburg. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Terry's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.7 points over those games. As for George County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Terry has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 185.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like George County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 169.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Terry came out on top in a nail-biter against George County in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, sneaking past 41-39. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Rebels' Deuce Knight, who threw for 291 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 86 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Bulldogs to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
