Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Millard South's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 3-1 to Omaha Westside.
While Millard South ultimately came up short, they really made Omaha Westside work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 27-29, 25-17, 27-25.
Bellevue West will have to contain Emeline Myers as she made an impact in Millard South's last game. She had 33 digs and four assists. Myers has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 12 times she's played.
Bellevue West pushed their record up to 8-20 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Millard South, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 23-6.
