The Aragon Dons will head out to take on the Valley Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aragon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Aragon easily dispatched Carlmont on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Aragon fell just short of Mills by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday.

Olivia Mukherjee and Taylor Workman did some serious damage despite the final result: Mukherjee went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Workman got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one triple. The dominant performance gave Mukherjee a new career-high in doubles. Destiny Garcia also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.
Meanwhile, Valley Christian entered their tilt with Mountain View on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since March 5, 2024.
Valley Christian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shyla Paredes, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Another was Charlotte Coney, who scored two runs and stole a base.
Valley Christian pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Aragon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Aragon has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .437. However, it's not like Valley Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .441. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Aragon might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Valley Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Aragon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
