The Damonte Ranch Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Reno Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Damonte Ranch will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Damonte Ranch only won by three when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 20-point they dealt Galena on Friday. Everything went Damonte Ranch's way against Galena as Damonte Ranch made off with a 58-38 win. Given Damonte Ranch's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Galena is ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Damonte Ranch got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Quinn Garrett out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Ghisletta, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Reno can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against McQueen by a score of 48-39. The victory was just what Reno needed coming off of a 79-51 loss in their prior contest.
Damonte Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Reno, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-14.
Damonte Ranch took their win against Reno in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 65-41. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Reno's Kindle Rowe, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Damonte Ranch still be able to contain Rowe? There's only one way to find out.
